Conversation flow: what it means in a Telegram bot
A conversation flow is the path a bot follows with each person: which message it sends, what it waits for, and where it goes depending on the answer. Instead of one text for everyone, each choice leads to a next step.
In Flow4You, it’s simply called a flow, and you draw it in a visual editor, block by block.
What a flow is made of
- Trigger: what starts the conversation, such as a click on the bot’s link.
- Messages: text, image, video or audio, with buttons.
- Waits: from a few seconds of “typing…” to a delay of days.
- Decisions: for example, “does this lead have the tag bought?” Yes goes one way, no goes the other.
- Actions: adding or removing a tag, for example.
A minimal example:
Rule-based flow or free conversation?
A rule-based flow follows exactly the path you drew, so it’s predictable. Free-text conversation needs something else: in Flow4You, that’s the AI Agent, a block that runs inside the flow with a goal to reach.
Where it fits in a sale
One or more chained flows make up a funnel. The guide to the Telegram sales funnel covers the stages and a full example.
